What happens each week.

This church is volunteer-led — there is no paid staff. Everything below is carried by the congregation itself.

Every Sunday

Worship

Prayer, singing and the preaching of Scripture in Kinyarwanda with English translation, from 9:30 to 12:30. About 150 people, families together.

During the service

Children & youth

Teaching for our young people, who are growing up in English while their parents read Kinyarwanda. Every worker is screened before they serve.

Through the week

Home visits

When someone comes to faith, our pastor and leaders visit them at home, in their own language. This is how our church has grown.

Being established

Small group Bible study

The Word opened in homes during the week, not only from the pulpit on Sunday, led by small group leaders from the congregation.

As people come to faith

New believer discipleship

Personal, pastoral follow-up for every new believer, led by the Senior Pastor and church leaders.

Sundays & special gatherings

Worship teams

The New Life Worship Team leads our singing, and joins with visiting teams for nights of prayer and special gatherings.

Gatherings
Scripture in the mother tongue

One house, two Bibles, and a gap between them.

In many of our homes, a parent holds a Kinyarwanda Bible the child cannot read, and the child holds an English Bible the parent cannot. Family devotion becomes difficult in the very place it should be most natural.

Our families arrived here as refugees. What they carried was limited — and what was replaced first was rarely a Bible.

So we are working to put Scripture into the hands of every household in a language they can read: Kinyarwanda for the adults, English editions for the children and youth, French and Swahili where those serve best. A household survey is under way so that this work rests on counted numbers, not impressions.
