How we handle what you give

These are not aspirations. Each one is written into the bylaws adopted by our board, and the board answers to the congregation for keeping them.

New Life Fellowship of Phoenix is recognized as exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are deductible under section 170 to the extent allowed by law.

Where the money goes

A small budget, held openly.

The church is in its first year, so these are current monthly averages rather than a completed fiscal year. The first independent financial review will be commissioned at the close of this fiscal year, and its findings will be available to donors on request.

About $67 per person each month is given by a congregation of refugee families. We consider that level of commitment the clearest evidence of ownership of this ministry.

Monthly averages, first year of operation. Annualized: income $120,000; expenses $96,000.

Our commitments to you

What every donor can expect.

These commitments come from our Donor Confidence & Accountability Pack, and each one is cross-referenced to the bylaw article that makes it binding on the board.

Your gift is used for the purpose you designated. Restricted and designated gifts are tracked in separate ledger accounts and used only for the donor's stated purpose.

You receive a written acknowledgment that meets IRS substantiation requirements, and an annual giving statement by January 31.

You may request our latest annual financial report and independent review at any time, and ask how your gift was used — and receive a substantive answer.

Your details stay confidential. Your name, contact details and giving history will never be sold, rented or traded, and you may give anonymously.

You may step back at any time. Ask to be removed from all solicitation contact, or decline recognition, without it affecting how your gift is handled.

Ways to give

Four ways, all of them counted the same.

Whichever way you give, it is recorded, receipted, and reported to the board.
